Madison County Planning Department The Madison County Planning Department assists with planning issues in all of the unincorporated areas in Madison County.

The Madison County Planning Department implements the Madison County Land Use and Development Code for all land within Madison County that lies outside of incorporated areas. The Planning Department issues building permits; visits complaints to determine validity, and if valid, issue a violation ; guides individuals through rezoning, variance and waiver requests; assists individuals through the platting process; and maintains the Land Use and Development Code.
