Just a reminder as we get ready for a FUN SPLASH PAD SEASON......CHALK contains substances that can affect water quality: Chalk is typically made of calcium carbonate or calcium sulfate, which do not readily dissolve in water. When chalk particles enter the splash pad's water system, they could potentially alter the water's chemistry and quality. This could include affecting the pH or mineral balance of the water, which in turn could impact the effectiveness of any disinfectants used to keep the water clean & safe.
CHALK can also create a messy residue: Even though chalk is water-soluble, it takes a long time to fully dissolve. When chalk is used on a splash pad, it can leave behind visible markings and residue that will need to be cleaned off. This can be a time-consuming process & can require closing for additional maintenance.

PLEASE DO NOT bring chalk into the KidVenture Splash Pad area!!!
