Kay Wehner is a 1967 graduate of Anderson High School. After graduation, she attended Business College to become a Medical Assistant and worked various jobs. In 1976, she was hired to work on a city project that was located at the then Anderson Area Vocational-Technical School. In 1979, she was hired by Anderson Community Schools and began her career at Anderson High School. During her time at Anderson High School she has held several titles including: Principal’s Secretary, Bookkeeper, Registrar, and Counseling Secretary where she has helped to establish and maintain many processes for the daunting task of scheduling for our high school students. She is proud to have spent about three-fourths of her life at Anderson High School. She’s also proud to have been an ACS student and attended Longfellow Elementary School, Central Avenue School, South Side Junior High School, and then Anderson High School. We are so of Kay and that she has chosen to give so much of her life to Anderson High School!

Anderson High School students participated in the World Rube Goldberg Machine Contest.
The team is one of the top 3 finalists and official results will be announced at the conclusion of a Live Stream event this Saturday, May 30, from 6pm to 8pm.
All are invited to watch this streamed event which will highlight the AHS students and their 35-step machine that will "Open a Box."

The full RGMC World Championship Broadcast begins at 6:00pm (EST) on Saturday, May 30th, 2026.
All participating teams will be featured during an exciting 2 hour event, followed by the livestream award ceremony PLUS announcement of the 2027 annual task.

Congratulations to Scarlett Aguilar Clark for an outstanding achievement!

Scarlett earned a perfect score of 600 and Distinguished Honors on the PLTW Principles of Biomedical Sciences National End of Course Assessment! Even more impressive, her performance scored higher than 100% of Principles of Biomedical Sciences students nationwide.

Today is a special day... it’s our Top 30 Field Trip! Our top-performing seniors are visiting ACS elementary schools and Southview Preschool, giving future AHS graduates a chance to meet them and get a glimpse of what they have to look forward to in their journey to high school graduation. Good evening, AHS Families!
Tutoring and activity buses will be available this week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Wednesday is an early release day. ​This will be the last week for tutoring and activity buses for the ​school year.

The final student in our countdown of the Top-20 students from the 2026 graduating class at Anderson High School (AHS) is Elijah Carmack. Throughout his journey at Anderson Community Schools he has approached his work with a strong sense of purpose and takes pride in producing high-quality results. Adjectives that would describe him are dedicated, resilient, detail-oriented, and articulate. This fall, Elijah will attend Ball State University, where he plans to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.

We look forward to honoring Elijah and all of the incredible Top-20 students this evening at AHS!

Next up in our countdown of the Top-20 students from the 2026 graduating class at Anderson High School (AHS) is Wren Stewart. Wren started at Anderson Community Schools (ACS) by attending E2 Elementary School. From an early age Wren has loved learning. Wren’s favorite subject has been Computer Science. Wren has been very involved at AHS, participating in Robotics, National Honor Society, and the Chromebook room. After graduation, Wren is headed to Anderson University to study Cybersecurity. Curious, resilient, ambitious, and empathetic are words that best describe Wren.

Next up in our countdown of the Top-20 students from the 2026 graduating class at Anderson High School (AHS) is Riley Ferguson. Riley began her journey at Anderson Community Schools (ACS) by attending Erskine Elementary School. She grew up playing softball and also swam for two years. Her experience playing sports taught her a lot about teamwork, commitment, and pushing herself. During her high school years, she has loved learning how to be a CNA and what it takes to be in healthcare. After she graduates, she plans to attend Indiana University to study Nursing. She is excited to continue her education and work towards a career where she can help people and make a difference. Her friends would describe her as considerate and reflective. She would describe herself as empathetic and observant.
