SATURDAY FLOOD RELIEF & RECOVERY UPDATE

TODAY: FLOOD RECOVERY ONE-STOP SHOP

Today is the final currently scheduled day for the Madison County Flood Recovery One-Stop Shop.

Flood survivors can receive free, in-person help from state and federal agencies with FEMA Individual Assistance, SBA disaster loans, temporary housing, State Disaster Relief Fund applications, insurance questions, replacement IDs and documents, public health needs and other recovery resources.

If you have questions about applications you have already started or aren't sure which assistance may apply to your situation, this is an opportunity to talk directly with representatives who can help.

IMPORTANT STATE DISASTER RELIEF FUND UPDATE

Due to the high volume of applications, Indiana DHS is now working with Bright Harbor to process State Disaster Relief Fund applications.

If you have already applied, watch your email — including your spam or junk folder — for messages from [email protected] or [email protected] requesting additional information.

Applicants may be asked for proof of identity, proof of ownership or residency, and payment information. If direct deposit is selected, bank account verification may also be required. These requests are part of the official State Disaster Relief Fund application process.

FLOOD AID FOR ANDERSON: APPLICATION & GIVING UPDATE

Flood recovery takes time, and Flood Aid for Anderson continues to help our neighbors as they move forward.

Applications are still open. Half of the applications received to date have now been processed, and applicants will receive information about their status directly from Anderson AIMS

Donations are also still being accepted. Funds raised through Flood Aid for Anderson are providing additional resources to local residents affected by the flooding, helping with immediate and ongoing needs as families continue navigating recovery.

Every gift allows this community-led effort to help another neighbor. As long as donations continue coming in, we will continue putting those resources back into the hands of people impacted by the flood.

WEDNESDAY FLOOD RELIEF & RECOVERY UPDATE

Several new recovery resources are now available for Madison County residents affected by the August flooding.

TODAY: Flood Recovery One Stop Shop
A multi-agency One Stop Shop is open today through Saturday, September 5, from 9 a.m.–7 p.m. at Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 911 S. Rangeline Road in Anderson.

More than 20 agencies, including FEMA and state and county representatives, will be available to help homeowners, renters and businesses connect with disaster assistance and get questions answered.

TODAY: American Red Cross Financial Assistance
The Red Cross is offering financial assistance to households with qualifying major flood damage and will provide in-person assistance today from 1–4 p.m. at Fifth Street United Methodist Church, 1124 W. 5th Street in Anderson.**

The Madison County Flood Relief Resource Page has also been updated with information about:

• City of Anderson $1,000 Emergency Flood Assistance
• NEW REALTOR® Relief grants of up to $1,000

Recovery is community work.

On August 31, MCCF distributed $50,000 in emergency grants to six local nonprofits that have been showing up for neighbors impacted by the flood.

These funds will help replenish resources, address facility needs and support the work that continues.

TUESDAY FLOOD RELIEF & RECOVERY UPDATE

As our community moves further into recovery, several new forms of assistance are now available for residents and businesses impacted by the August flooding.

The Madison County Flood Relief Resource Page has been updated with current information, including:

FEMA Individual Assistance – Madison County residents may now apply for federal disaster assistance. In-person FEMA assistance is available **today until 8 p.m. at Anderson City Hall**, with additional in-person assistance available at the Pendleton Community Public Library September 2–3.

NEW: American Red Cross Financial Assistance – Financial assistance is available for households with qualifying major flood damage. The Red Cross will have an in-person service site at **Fifth Street United Methodist Church in Anderson tomorrow, September 2, from 1–4 p.m.

SBA Disaster Assistance – Low-interest disaster loans are now available for eligible homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Disaster Unemployment Assistance – Assistance is now available for eligible individuals whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted as a direct result of the disaster.

City of Anderson Emergency Flood Assistance – Applications remain open for the City's $1,000 assistance program for eligible flood-impacted Anderson households.

The resource page also continues to include current information about housing, cleanup assistance, food and supplies, clothing, volunteer opportunities and other recovery resources.

Flood Aid for Anderson Applications Are Now Available

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors and the overwhelming support of our community, Flood Aid for Anderson is now accepting applications for financial assistance.

If you experienced flood-related damage and need stopgap help before FEMA and insurance can kick in as you begin the recovery process, we encourage you to apply.
