Since 1998, Friends of Alaska PYLI has been a community coalition of businesses, civic and community groups, and youth serving organizations which promotes the Alaska Points of Light Youth Leadership Institute training
, Students Awards, Volunteer Activities, & Community Leadership Training. said that " everyone can be great because anyone can serve." We believe that each young Alaskan can be great. Friends of Alaska PYLI sponsor Jack White Real Estate partners with the Alaska Salvation Army, UAA TRiO Program, YWCA Alaska, Jewel Lake Tastee Freez, and all schools and youth organizations in a grassroots community effort to make Alaska a great state for its youth by promoting volunteer service, community spirit, and empowering young people to become "points of light" making the world, the state, and their schools and communities better places to live.
