The Alaska Division of Elections just removed thousands of Alaskans from the active voter list. Here's what you need to know:

Several thousand registered voters were moved to “inactive” status based on possibly outdated citizenship information, including receiving an Alaska driver’s license before becoming naturalized citizens.
We advise everyone to take a moment to check your status at the below link to be sure you can vote without any issues in the August 18 primary.

If your status is "inactive" or your record isn't found, email or call the Alaska Division of Elections immediately – contact information is found on their website here: www.elections.alaska.gov/contact-information/

📢IMPORTANT: A voter can still cast a ballot in "inactive" status by going to their polling place and asking for a "questioned" ballot. The ballot will be reviewed and counted if the voter’s eligibility is verified.
