UAA's Political Science department is proud to present Jeff Clements. He is the President of American Promise, a fast-growing, cross-partisan network of Americans working locally and nationally to win the next Amendment to the US Constitution so that citizens, not money, govern America. Perhaps a 28th Amendment overriding the Citizen's United Case?

Please plan on attending this William H. Seward Lecture, this Tuesday, March 19th from 7:30 - 9 pm at UAA in Library, Room 307. Not only is parking free but so is the lecture!

Dear PSA and UAA Community,

Serving as President of Political Science Association has been one of the greatest honors I've had the privilege of receiving at UAA. As the end of the year approaches, it's time that I offer my farewell, as I will not be seeking re-election for President. We had a great team this year and I am confident that the next President will carry on many of the traditions we created this year. PSA taught me a lot in the art of debating heated topics while still respecting the person across the table. As we worked to build a bipartisan conversation, many of the members who attended our meetings reported having felt they learned valuable perspectives. Across the country, campuses are beginning to become more polarized again, and as that continues it will be ever more important that organizations such as the PSA have a strong presence on campuses to foster those discussions. Again, thank you for allowing me to serve.

For those who are interested in running for President for the next academic year, please message the group and let us know.

Have a fantastic summer,

Chaz
