Founded in 1953, the Alaska Chamber works to promote a positive business environment in Alaska. The voice of small and large business, the Chamber represents hundreds of employers and local chambers across Alaska. Our member companies employ over 100,000 hard-working Alaskans. The Chamber is governed by a Board of Directors, some elected and some appointed, representing a broad cross-section of the business community. The Chamber is a private, non-profit corporation supported by businesses and individuals.

The Alaska Chamber was glad to join leaders from across Alaska’s transportation, energy, mining, fuels, and other industries today for Industry Day at Port MacKenzie. ⚓

The day included updates on several important infrastructure projects, including the West Susitna Access Road, natural gas infrastructure, and the Port MacKenzie Rail Extension, along with an opportunity to tour the port and proposed rail loop and terminal.

Bringing stakeholders and industry leaders together for conversations like these is important as Alaska looks toward the infrastructure, access, and investment needed to unlock new economic opportunities across our state.

The Alaska Chamber is proud to celebrate the recent announcement last month that Santos Ltd has committed to providing an annual investment for a new childcare facility in the heart of downtown Anchorage.

Access to affordable, reliable child care is one of the most pressing workforce challenges facing Alaska’s employers. Investments like this help working families thrive, strengthen businesses, and support a healthier economy for everyone.

The Alaska Chamber was proud to be in attendance last week at the Alaska Oil and Gas Association's annual conference, featuring industry and project updates and outlooks for future projects and developments. Chamber President and CEO, Kati Capozzi had the pleasure of moderating the Gubernatorial Candidate Forum which featured the top 4 candidates at the time. It was amazing to see members Santos Ltd and REPSOL win the Project of the Year Award for the Pikka Phase 1. It was also a great honor to see our friend and colleague Rebecca Logan, CEO of The Alaska Support Industry Alliance be awarded the Marilyn Crockett Lifetime Achievement Award, so well deserved! Congratulations to all the award winners!

Business leaders, policymakers, employers, and child care stakeholders came together for an important conversation about the connection between child care, workforce participation, economic competitiveness, and business growth in Alaska.
