Help us celebrate Trey on his one year anniversary with Sunrise! 🌟

Over the past year, Trey has made a lasting impact on both our team and the Risers he supports through his patience, reliability, and genuine passion for inclusion. Whether he’s helping train new team members, encouraging healthy and active lifestyles, or connecting with Risers through shared interests like chess and Magic: The Gathering, Trey brings consistency, compassion, and positivity into everything he does.

He’s also been a dedicated advocate and Special Olympics partner, helping support one of our Risers on their journey to qualifying for Special Olympics Nationals in Bocce Ball. It’s an incredible accomplishment that reflects Trey’s encouragement and commitment every step of the way.

Trey, thank you for all the care, leadership, and dedication you bring to Sunrise. We’re grateful to have you on our team and excited to celebrate this milestone with you! 👏

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice made so many of the freedoms and opportunities we experience every day possible, and we are deeply grateful for the courage, selflessness, and dedication they showed in serving others.

This Memorial Day, we’re thinking of the families, loved ones, and communities carrying the weight of that loss, and honoring the lives and legacies of those who served.

We remember them today and every day. 🇺🇸

Caleb and Jordan had a great time at locals basketball last week! 🏀👏🏼

The guys competed in traditional skills, hit the court against other athletes, and took home a few ribbons along the way. Lots of smiles, great teamwork, and a fun week all around! ⛹🏻‍♂️

Since joining Sunrise in December, Eric has become a steady and dependable presence for both our risers and staff. His calm approach, strong work ethic, and willingness to step up wherever needed have helped create a more structured, supportive, and positive environment within the home.

From coordinating medications and transportation to helping maintain daily routines and supporting household operations, Eric consistently approaches every responsibility with professionalism and care. More importantly, he has built meaningful relationships with our risers through patience, reliability, and genuine dedication.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💙🧡

Mental health matters for everyone, and support starts with kindness, connection, and understanding. At Sunrise, we believe every person deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported through every stage of life.

This month, we’re encouraging open conversations, checking in on one another, and continuing to build a community where people can thrive together.

👉🏼 If you or someone you know needs support, help is available here in Alaska. You can call or text 988 anytime for free, confidential support. Local mental health organizations and community resources are also available to provide counseling, education, and crisis intervention services.

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health, and it’s okay to ask for support when you need it.
