Anchorage People Mover adheres to the Municipality of Anchorage Operating Policies and Procedures 16-5 for Social Media Accounts. The policy can be found on our website: https://www.muni.org/Departments/transit/PeopleMover/Pages/guidelinesandpolicies.aspx

6. i) Content may be subject to removal if it contains:
a) Profane language or content;
b) Content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discri

mination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, gender identity or sexual orientation;
c) Sexual harassment or sexually explicit content;
d) Solicitations of commerce or advertisements including promotions or endorsements;
e) Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;
f) Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems, as well as public employees;
g) Content intended to defame any person, group or organization;
h) Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party, such as trademark or copyright infringement;
i) Libelous, vicious or malicious statements concerning any employee, the Municipality or its operations;
j) Violent or threatening content; or
k) Disclosure of confidential, sensitive or proprietary information;
ii) Unacceptable content and repeat individual violators may be removed and/blocked upon consultation with the department director. Before removing/blocking, a private message will be sent to the responsible user noting repeated violation of the Social Media User Responsibility Guidelines and the reason for removal/blocking. See subsection 6.g.iii concerning content management and deletion. iii) Content may not be removed for simply stating an unpopular viewpoint. iv) All comments and posts may be subject to public records laws.

*RIDER REMINDER* Buses are parked and offices are closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Regular service will resume, and offices will reopen for normal business hours first thing Tuesday morning, 5/26.

We hope you're able to enjoy the long weekend as we recognize, remember and honor those who have given all in service to our country. We look forward to getting back to moving our great community and thank you for your patience.

Is it really even May if the Reading Rendezvous at Loussac Library hasn’t happened?

Kick off the summer season, (theoretically summer has to start eventually, right? Right?!), with activities, free entertainment and more this Saturday, May 16th courtesy of our friends at Anchorage Public Library!

We'll be set up in UMed at the corner of Providence and Alumni, (conveniently located near bus stop ANC1223 if you need to give your legs a rest and hop on Routes 10, 20 or 55), with schedule info, answers to questions, fun swag, and a chance to try your hand at our bike rack.

ALSO score some swag from UAA, tune up your ride with Trek Bicycle, carbo load at the Great Harvest bread and butter station and more!

Even if you're not technically biking TO work, stop by for a chat and some goodies. We'll never tell.

This time around, we’d ALSO like to take the opportunity to remind you that Mother’s Day was just this past Sunday and, if you haven’t already (smh 🤦‍♂️), let the mother figure in your life know how much you appreciate them.
