Set up and ready to go for the very first Lower Yukon Annual Job & Career Fair tomorrow, 24 March 2023! The event is being held at Alakanuk School.
What a great experience it has been to be able to fly up and interact with Village members and school staff in preparation for this important event! I look forward to see what an impact this annual event will have on the local youth, and I look forward to coming again in years to come. Go Braves!

This AMYA class graduates in 4 weeks and this event is a great time for the cadets to explore employment options after graduation.

Come out and see SSgt Guzman, TSgt Bradford, and myself at the 2022 TAG Marksmanship Competition! There are plenty of opportunities for prior service members in the Alaska Air National Guard. Standing right next to me are just a few of the folks I brought over from Active Duty to the great AKANG.

Today I was honored and surprised to be awarded the 176th Force Support Squadron’s Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year award for 2021! I am very grateful for the recognition, but it’s important to note that the job we do as recruiters would not happen without the amazing team at the FSS. After enlistment it’s them who take the reigns and ensure the new members are taken care of and processed successfully. So here is a big THANKS to my leadership and to the 176 FSS for all the hard work you do to ensure recruiting is successful!

Today SSgt Deer and I set up shop in Homer High School on the third day of our AKANG and USAF tour of the Kenai Peninsula! After a great time with the students we drove up to the Kenai Recreation Center to talk with some teens about opportunities in the Air Force, both Active and Guard. Then we were destroyed in a game of war ball, but had a great time trying it out!
Tomorrow we will be wrapping up the tour at Seward High School. Come hang out with us during the lunch period!

The Alaska Air National Guard and Active Duty Air Force are teaming up this week to visit schools all over the Kenai Peninsula! SSgt Eric Deer and I had a great visit at Kenai Central HS today. If you missed us, come see us tomorrow at Soldotna HS! We’ll be there for both lunch periods.
