We want to formally invite you all to attend all three days of Sobermiut’s upcoming Gathering of Alaska Natives (GOAN) in Anchorage. And another meeting in February.

This is a community-led, drug- and alcohol-free gathering centered on cultural wellness, su***de prevention, and community resilience, bringing together elders, youth, families, and local partners. The intent is not ceremonial only, but relational allowing leadership to hear directly from community members, observe the process, and understand how grassroots healing and preparedness efforts are taking shape.

Dates: January 30 – February 1

Time: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM daily

Location: 1420 Cordova St., Anchorage, AK

Host: Sobermiut: Reviving Our Spirit, Inc.

We would value everyone leadership’s presence across all three days, as each day builds on the previous one and reflects different phases of community dialogue, planning, and healing. this gathering aligns with broader conversations around rural resilience, mental health, and long-term recovery. this invitation is about relationship, listening, and alignment with ongoing recovery and resilience work.
