🤩Had our first training in the station🤩 RT 130 in the books! Had a great turnout and good class put on by DNR. I didn’t get many pictures but we are sure proud of the station and of our volunteers for all the hours they’ve put into making this goal come to fruition!!!! Thank you doesn’t even come close to how much we appreciate all they’ve done.

The US National Weather Service Spokane Washington has issued a Flood Watch for our are, in effect from 11pm tonight through 5pm Saturday. An Atmospheric river could bring up to 3 inches rain to the area. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach critical levels and excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

The Grande Ronde River is forecast to reach Action Stage tomorrow evening. This is the level which represents where the there may be a need to take some type of mitigation action in preparation for possible significant hydrologic activity. There are currently NO active hydrologic watches or warnings for Asotin County

Residents and visitors are advised to be aware of river and road conditions in the area. Please report any road impacts to the Asotin County Public Works Dept. at (509) 243-2074 during business hours or Whitcom 911 on the non-emergency line (509) 758-2331.

ALWAYS CALL 911 in an emergency.

03/11/2026

With the anticipated high wind conditions, please remember that 911 is for emergencies only.

All power outage questions or inquiries should always be directed to your local power provider.

Hey friends and neighbors. If you could please take a minute to respond to this post, it would be greatly appreciated. Asotin County Emergency Management is trying to access the needs for our local residents while we are experiencing the power outage and any damage you may have gotten from the wind storm. Please feel free to reach out to us if you are in need of assistance. Check on your neighbor’s and stay warm.

If you live in Asotin County and you or your property have been impacted by the windstorm on Tuesday 12/17/25, please complete a brief survey so we can assess the impact to the community.

You can scan the QR code below with your smart phone, or go to https://forms.office.com/g/R7EP7Pp8qJ to access the survey. If you do not feel comfortable completing the full survey but still want to report specific impacts you can email us at: [email protected]

Although Asotin County has not declared an emergency as a result of the windstorm, and is not currently a part of the Governor’s disaster declaration from the atmospheric rivers affecting the state, the input received from this survey may expedite providing assistance to those that need it, should that change.
Thank you!

🎄Second Annual Anatone Lighted Christmas Parade will take place on December 20th. 🎄We will stage at the Blue Mountain Fire District station on Sangster Road. Doors open at 4:00, line up 4:30, leave at 5:00.

We will head out Sangster Road, loop around to Mill Road to Hwy 129. Then serpentine through the streets of Anatone. Ending at the Anatone Community Hall where there will be Christmas treats and hot cocoa.

Rumor has it that Santa needs a break from the North Pole and wants a ride in a fire truck so we have the pleasure of leading the parade with the jolly old guy🎅

Everyone is welcome!! Decorate your pickup, semi, tractor, 4 wheeler or side by side and come join us for a fun evening!!!🎄
