TEN YEARS AGO on the OJB - this is one of the enduring mysteries of Jordan Brandman (or not.) Elected in 2012 as a "Democrat" and having promised to fight for district elections, his first and only appointee to the Districting Commission was this right-wing immigrant-basher Amanda Edinger, who was outspokenly against district elections. Why did Jordan pick her of all people, or who forced him to? For years his buddy Dan C of the ironically named Liberal OC promised he'd ask Jordan that question but of course he never did. WEIRD. Exciting news for Anaheim - Mayor Harry Sidhu is having the first high-dollar fundraiser for his re-election, at 6 tonight at the Radisson Blu Hotel, 1601 S. Anaheim Blvd right at the 5!

And Harry is so modest and humble, he never told ANY of us, but we have eyes and ears everywhere, so we'll be there!

If you, like us, can't afford the price or prefer not to pay it, please join us on the sidewalk in front any time between 5:30 and... say 6:30 or 7 if you're tied up.

Don't miss - everything we know about our new District 2 Anaheim Councilwoman Gloria Ma'ae (appointed to replace the disgraced Jordan Brandman.) I've been closely observing, and regularly writing about, politician Jordan Brandman for at least 9 years, since this 2012 piece "The Contortions of Jordan Brandman." Now that (with a slight assist from me) he's tanked his political career, he'll most likely be replaced with someone who will vote just as badly, but one important upside is that the career of an ambitious golden boy who could have ended up a really bad Assemblyman or Congressman is over.

Vern here. This 2012 piece of mine is kind of astute in retrospect - it starts with Jose Solorio trying to convince me not to oppose Brandman: "You should want a Democrat, who's pro-women's rights, pro-gay, anti-guns, to become a Councilman, because in a few years he could be an Assemblyman or Congressman!"

Nice, Brandon Pho gets down two of last meeting's biggest stories (besides all the Stadium corruption and the organized Hills citizens defeating Pringle) - Faessel sending "his police" to Larry Larsen's house, and more Brandman Recall desmadre!

It comes as another member from the city council majority faces public scrutiny, and a recall effort, over his behavior from the dais.
