A new school year brings excitement, change, and sometimes stress.

Children and teens may experience feelings of anxiety, worry, or pressure as they adjust to new routines, classes, and expectations.

Parents, caregivers, and educators can support youth by:

• Creating open conversations about feelings
• Listening without immediately trying to fix problems
• Helping establish healthy routines
• Encouraging breaks and self-care
• Reminding youth they are not alone
