We received this today and hope this clears some things up:

"We would like to clarify some questions regarding our lunch volunteers. Parent and community volunteers are not needed for staffing or coverage purposes. We initially invited volunteers to help students open containers, learn routines, and adjust during the first few weeks of school.
The experience has been such a positive one! Our students enjoy seeing family and community members at school, and our volunteers have shared how much they enjoy being here. Because of this positive response, we have decided to continue offering this opportunity throughout the year. It is simply another meaningful way for parents and community members to become involved and support our students.

We are grateful for everyone who chooses to volunteer, but please know that participation is always optional and is not necessary for our cafeteria to operate safely and successfully."
