I was recently asked by another candidate in this race to consider dropping out and publicly backing him during the final week of the primaries. This came with an offer to do it in a manner that "gets some attention to your cannabis initiative".
Iโm going to be very clear.
That is not happening.
This campaign was not built so I could fold into another candidate's campaign at the last minute for a press release or a little attention on one issue.
The people supporting me are not supporting me because they want more of the same political maneuvering. They are supporting a message and a platform. They are supporting the idea that Idaho deserves leadership willing to stand on principle, even when it would be easier to play the game.
I agree that Brad Little needs to be challenged. But simply being against Brad Little is not enough.
Idahoans deserve to know what a candidate actually believes, how they make decisions, and whether their values hold up when the pressure comes.
I am not running to be absorbed into someone elseโs campaign. I am not running to trade support for headlines. I am not running to help clear the field for another candidate who does not fully align with the principles Iโve put in front of Idahoans from the beginning.
This campaign is about limited government, personal responsibility, fiscal discipline, local control, medical freedom, cannabis reform, government accountability, and restoring power back to the great and amazing people of Idaho.
If another candidate wants to have hard conversations about where we agree then my door is open; however, I will not ask the people who believe in this campaign to settle for a different message just because someone thinks it would be politically convenient.
Idaho does not need more backroom political strategy; it needs honest and proactive leadership.
Iโm staying in this race because I believe our citizens deserve better.
Letโs .
