This past weekend, our members put their training—and teamwork—to the test. Despite freezing temperatures, they responded to two working fires within our village. Thanks to their swift and coordinated efforts, both fires were contained and did not spread to neighboring homes, sparing surrounding properties from major damage. 🚒❄️

Thank you to every member who answered the call and stood strong under challenging conditions, as well as to our mutual aid departments for their unwavering support throughout both days.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the mutual aid fire departments who bravely assisted, including North Amityville, Copiague, Massapequa, North Lindenhurst, Lindenhurst, East Farmingdale, South Farmingdale, Farmingdale Village, Seaford, and West Babylon, along with Islip Exchange for providing firefighter rehab at the scene. We also thank Suffolk County Fire and Rescue Emergency Services and the American Red Cross for the vital assistance they provided.

This collective support was instrumental in successfully fighting these fires. The Department is proud to serve alongside such a dedicated group of professionals. Always ready. Always there.

Today’s snow will not keep Santa away from visiting the East side of the Village of Amityville! 🎅❄️
Due to weather conditions, we will be getting a late start at approximately 2:30 PM.
If you would like to say hello and receive a candy cane, please come out to the street. For safety reasons, Santa will remain on the sleigh, and his elves will stay by his side today due to icy conditions.
Please use caution—your safety is our top priority. We want everyone to enjoy the visit and stay safe.
Make sure to Keep you ears open!!!!!!!!
