Starting on Wednesday, Sept. 22, the Hammond Senior Center will move to Recreation Center at 601 West Coleman Ave. The Ponchatoula Senior Center will move to Ponchatoula Recreation Park Event Building at 19030 Ponchatoula Park Drive. The Independence, Kentwood and Amite Senior Centers will remain in their current locations. Transportation will be provided to pick up and drop off our Seniors. Cell phones will be used and hot meals and some activities will resume. Our Home Delivered Meals will start on Monday, Sept. 20. For more information call 985-748-7486 between 8:30 am -2:30 pm Monday through Friday.

The generosity of our community always amazes us and keeps us humble. We have just received two major donations from Hancock Whitney Bank and the Modern Woodmen of America to help our Seniors Walk Fundraiser. We have also raised over $1,400 from individual donors who have contributed to help provide meals to our seniors in their homes who normally come to one of our senior centers. If you would like to help provide meals for our seniors, please visit www.tangicares.com and make an online donation. All proceeds go directly to our meals program.

We are excited to have our Walk for Senior and Picnic website up and running. It is www.tangicares.com. The walk was scheduled for May but we are moving it to the Fall. However we still need your help. Please visit the site and donate since we are now bringing meals to an additional 400 seniors who normally visit one of our Senior Centers. Your help is needed and appreciated. Donate today and be part of our Walk for Senior and Picnic.
