Our Maintenance crew worked hard today locating and repairing a water leak on Walnut Street.
We appreciate their dedication and long hours spent working behind the scenes to keep our Townโ€™s water system running and serving our community. ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ’ง IMPORTANT WATER SYSTEM UPDATE ๐Ÿ’ง

Dear TOWN Water Customers,

Due to ongoing drought conditions and reduced water availability, the Town of Amherst will temporarily be purchasing water from the Amherst County Service Authority (ACSA) to help maintain an adequate and reliable water supply.

In addition, our Town Maintenance crew has identified a leak within the water system and is actively working to address the issue.

As we transition to the ACSA water supply and make adjustments to the system, customers may temporarily notice:

๐Ÿ’ง Changes in the appearance, taste, or odor of the water
๐Ÿ’ง Changes or fluctuations in water pressure
๐Ÿ’ง Temporary discoloration or other minor changes

The water remains SAFE to drink and use.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor the system. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to maintain dependable water service during the current drought conditions.

If you experience any water-related issues or have questions or concerns, please contact Town Hall at 434-946-7885.

We will provide additional updates as necessary.
