Amherst Youth and Recreation hosted a playground planning meeting for Clearfield Playground over the weekend. The purpose of these meetings is to hear directly from the families who use our playgrounds and learn what they would like to see included in future improvements.

It was great to see families come out, share their ideas, and help shape the future of Clearfield Playground. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate and share their input. We look forward to seeing these ideas come to life!

Thank you to the Williamsville Rotary Foundation for your generous support and continued investment in our community. The Town of Amherst is fortunate to have such an incredible nonprofit organization helping make a difference for our residents! 💙

This morning, the Town of Amherst commemorated the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Twenty-five years ago, 2,977 lives were lost in the terrorist attacks. As a nation, we promise to never forget.

Today, our community gathered at Amherst Memorial Hill Grove to remember those we lost and honor the many first responders who made tremendous sacrifices to save lives.

Thank you to the Town’s 9/11 Commemoration Committee for planning such a meaningful ceremony, and thank you to everyone who joined us.

I hope you will take a moment today to remember the lives lost and recognize the courage and sacrifices of the first responders who answered the call 25 years ago.

Important update, unfortunately I was just informed that due a maintenance issue, the flyover has been cancelled. 🇺🇸

In coordination with the 914th Air Refueling Wing, the Town is anticipating an Air Force flyover this morning at approximately 9:03 AM at Amherst Memorial Grove (near North Forest and Maple roads) in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. Please join us for the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony or take a moment today to remember the thousands of victims that we lost on September 11, 2001.
