🎓 Welcome home, Class of 1976!

At the beginning of August, Marion L. Steele High School welcomed members of the Class of 1976 back to its hallways during Amherst Alumni Weekend. The class was celebrating its 50th reunion and enjoyed reflecting on memories from their time at Steele while marveling at how much has—and hasn’t—changed over the years.

The tour concluded in the Alumni Room, which Mr. Russ Marty has thoughtfully filled with Amherst Schools artifacts and memorabilia that celebrate our district’s rich history.

🗺️ Learning the Midwest through teamwork!

Fifth-grade students in Mrs. Henry’s class at Walter G. Nord School had fun this week playing a game to practice identifying and labeling the Midwest states. What a great way to bring geography to life while learning alongside classmates! 💚💛

The Amherst Steele Dance Team will perform at the Amherst Art Festival on Saturday, September 5, in downtown Amherst! Catch the team in front of the stage at 5:10 PM and 6:00 PM. 💃

While you’re there, explore art exhibits, handcrafted vendors, interactive displays, food, live music, the Kids Art Village and more. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of creativity, community and fun! 🎭🎨
