Junior Achievement of WNY

Junior Achievement of WNY By helping students become confident, capable, and connected today, we can ensure they have access to opportunity-filled futures tomorrow.

A summer job is more than a paycheck, it’s often a young person’s first step toward independence, confidence, and career readiness.

Through hands-on experiences, students learn how to communicate, problem-solve, manage responsibility, and navigate the workplace, skills that last far beyond the summer season.

At Junior Achievement, we’re helping prepare students for those opportunities and the future ahead.

Graduation marks the end of one chapter, and the beginning of a future filled with opportunity.

Junior Achievement helps ensure students cross that stage with the confidence and skills to turn their ambitions into action.

We'd like to take a moment to recognize Lakelet Capital and portfolio companies.

For the past four years, they’ve hosted their own private Bowl-a-Thon event in support of JA, raising more than $23,000 and counting! Filled with contests, prizes, themed outfits, and plenty of fun, it’s always a great night of networking and connection.

We’re excited to have them joining us on the lanes once again tomorrow and grateful for their continued support of our local learning experiences. Because of their generosity, more than 500 WNY students have received our programs. 🙌👏💛

You can support them in their fundraising efforts at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/2026-jawny-bowlathon/classification/298952/

The connection between education and economic opportunity is evolving. Today, preparing students for what’s next takes more than academic achievement alone.

Early access to financial literacy, career-connected learning, and entrepreneurial experiences helps students build the confidence and real-world skills needed to navigate their futures and thrive in a changing workforce.

Our latest blog explores how these experiences help bridge the gap between classroom learning and long-term economic success.

Making a difference in the lives of local youth and young adults. 💙

Jeremiah was enrolled in JA’s Career Coaching program while a senior in high school. After graduation, Jeremiah’s career coach was informed about the Erie Corps program, an opportunity for paid vocational training leading to a career in environmental/conservation efforts. She reached out to Jeremiah who welcomed the opportunity. He finished the 4-week training program with perfect attendance and is currently a paid intern at Grover Cleveland Golf course - learning quickly and enjoying the job.
