Members of the Amesbury Fire Department were faced with a unique challenge yesterday afternoon, in the Town of South Hampton, NH. Amesbury provides automatic aid to the town for any incident and were called to a car off the road, in the river, with reported entrapment. The quick response of our crews and the teamwork that was shown during a rescue event that was a high-risk event, given the rushing flood waters and instability of the vehicle, was nothing short of amazing. The rescue efforts, and medical care provided during the event is indicative of the technical expertise, professionalism, and highest dedication of our members to support both our community and surrounding communities.
