🌷Meet our Mental Health Advocate Miranda Feldhans🌷

The Iowa State University Police Department has a dedicated team of three Mental Health Advocates who assist students, faculty, and staff in addressing mental health concerns. The advocates serve as a bridge to campus and community mental health resources while promoting awareness, education, and outreach across the university community.

In addition, the program includes certified therapy dogs that offer comfort, support, and stress relief to members of the ISU community.

Captain Christian brings extensive leadership, training and experience to this role through his prior service with the Story County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Air National Guard. His background in professional development, investigations, and organizational leadership, along with his collaborative approach, will be of great benefit to ISUPD in his role as Captain of Professional Standards & Training.

✔️Wear a DOT-compliant helmet and other personal protective gear.
✔️Never ride while impaired or distracted.
✔️Complete rider education courses and ride with a current motorcycle license.

Thank you to the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) for the kind recognition. We truly appreciate the partnership and the opportunity to have Iowa State University host the Girls State Soccer Tournament.

We are always glad to support the event and were happy to provide cooling fans to help keep teams and referees comfortable during the hot conditions. Our officers enjoy seeing the excitement and energy that the tournament brings to campus.

Events like this showcase the best of Iowa, and we are proud to play a small role in helping create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone involved. We value our relationship with the IGHSAU and hope to welcome Girls State Soccer to campus for many years to come.
