The department, with the help of a generous donation, was able to send four individuals to Colorado to get certified in confined space rescue. They spent a week navigating a maze of pipes that were above and underground, learning everything they could about rescuing trapped individuals. The department thanks and appreciates the dedication our volunteers give to better the department and themselves.

The Burn Ban for Power County will go into effect on June 5th. The ban will run from June 5th to September 30th, with the county revisiting the restriction in September to determine if it needs to be applied longer than the posted date. There is also an agricultural exemption that can be applied for in the month of September with authorization from the fire department and obtaining a burn permit. If you have any questions, feel free to call the fire department. Thank you.

Just an update on the Toys For Tots Toy Drive. These are the numbers for Power County and we just want to thank everyone who participated and helped make Christmas a little bit better for those who need it. These are truly some incredible numbers!! Thank you and Happy Holidays to you all.
