🐾🚒 It’s National Dog Day! 🚒🐾

Around here, every firehouse needs a good dog… and ours just happens to be Marshal! 🐶🔥

Whether he’s supervising the crew, posing for the camera, or reminding everyone who the real boss of is, Marshal takes his role as our favorite four-legged fire safety ambassador very seriously.

Today, we’re giving an extra scratch behind the ears to Marshal and all the good boys and girls in our community!

0912 am: Both NB lanes of Hwy 29 between Kimberly Drive and American Canyon Road are now open.

0816 am: One lane has has been opened. Please use caution. Crews will continue to be on scene for the next hour

NB Hwy 29 from Kimberly Drive to American Canyon Road is currently closed due to a vehicle fire. Crews are on scene.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves..

Schools back tomorrow, Amcan!🍎✏ Lets go over a few safety tips to make sure we start this year off as safe as possible 🤓

Back to school boards! 🖊
While these are cute and fun, giving away too much of your children's information may be risky. When posting pictures with these boards please be cautious of sharing your child's full name, teacher, school or other personal details!

Traffic safety! 🚗🛑
-SLOW DOWN in school zones! The school zone speed limit is 25mph
-Always stop for school buses with their signs out and flashing lights (yes, this applies to traffic in BOTH directions)
-Do not block a crosswalk at any time
-Be aware of increased pedestrian traffic on sidewalks and roadways

Child Safety! 🚸
-Teach your children to be aware and safely walk or ride to school. Look both ways when crossing the street, use sidewalks and crosswalks, look UP and avoid walking focused on handheld device, remove at least one headphone to be able to hear what is going on around them.
-Remind your children not to get in anyone's vehicles before or after school unless you give them permission ahead of time.

Last night, was proud to join our partners at American Canyon Police Department for another fantastic National Night Out!

It was a privilege to meet new neighbors, reconnect with familiar faces, and even make a feathered friend and helped them find their way back home 🦜

We were also joined by members of the AmCan Fire Explorers, who enjoyed spending the evening connecting with the community they aspire to serve.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the American Canyon community—not only during emergencies, but also through events like these that strengthen the relationships we value so much.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable evening. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

☀️ HEAT ADVISORY ☀️

Hot weather increases the risk of heat illness and vegetation fires.

✔️ Mow your lawn in the morning or evening to reduce heat exposure and the potential for sparks.
💧 Drink plenty of water and seek shade.
👵 Check on older adults and vulnerable neighbors.
🐾 Keep pets cool with water and shade—never leave them in a hot vehicle.
🔥 Clear dry grass and dead vegetation around your home.

Know the signs of heat stroke and call 911 immediately if someone is experiencing symptoms.

Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay fire safe.
