On April 24th Around 1300 hours, an ACMS PE teacher discovered two young Great Horned Owls huddled together in the brush near the ACMS Eucalyptus grove. They were alert but not moving from each other’s side. Deputy Ringo responded with his wildlife photography equipment and took a closer look to determine if the Owls were injured. Napa County Sheriff’s Animal Control officers were contacted and placed a referral to the Napa Wildlife Rescue. They responded and safely collected the two slingings who she reported to be between 6-8 weeks old. Their medical team will evaluate the Owls and determine if they have any health-related issues.

You never know what you will run into doing this job, but we are dedicated to helping everyone! Even our little feathered friends🦉🫶

To learn more about the two owls, please check back with us for updates! Special thanks to Carol Poole and the Napa Wildlife Rescue. www.napawildliferescue.org.

This is Hermey!🫶
Hermey is a 2.5-year-old Pit Bull

Hermey is a gentle, sweet-natured Pit Bull who may be a little shy when first meeting new people. He's looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to settle in at his own pace. With continued training and kind, gradual introductions to new people and dogs, Hermey's confidence continues to grow. Once he feels comfortable, his wonderful personality truly shines. He happily accepts all handling, adores affection, and loves to play, showing off joyful zoomies and playful bows. With patience and love, Hermey will make a deeply loyal and affectionate companion.🥰

Open your heart, open your home, and help us give these animals the lives they deserve!

Meet Broccoli 🥦
Broccoli is a 3-year-old American Staffy🐶

Broccoli is a loving and playful boy who may be a little apprehensive when first meeting new people here at the shelter, but once he warms up, his fun personality really shines. He would make a great companion for someone who enjoys staying active-whether that's going on hikes, long walks, adventuring, or playing a long round of fetch. One of Broccoli's cutest quirks is how he kicks his back legs out like a little frog when he's playing! And with his big ol' head and affectionate nature, you can be sure he'll happily hand out plenty of kisses. 😘🫶

A shelter pet may not have had the best start, but with you, they can have the best future!

First up is Bodee! 🐶
Bodee is a 12-year-old Australian Cattle dog

Bodee is proof that age is just a number. 👴This sweet senior still has plenty of pep in his step and is ready to enjoy all the good things in life-long walks, tasty snacks, and as many pets as you're willing to give. He's social and does well spending time around other dogs, but if he had to pick a favorite, it would definitely be snacks and scratches. With a heart full of love and a gentle, joyful spirit, Bodee is the kind of dog who will quickly become your best friend and loyal companion. He's waited patiently for his chance at a forever home where he can soak up all the affection he deserves. If you're looking for a loving, easygoing buddy with just the right amount of s***k, Bodee is your guy.💛

For a limited time, adoption fees are waived—because finding love shouldn’t come with a price
