: Victoria sent into hard lockdown for five days from midnight tonight.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced the lockdown to deal with a cluster stemming from an outbreak at the Holiday Inn quarantine hotel.

The “circuit breaker” action will begin from 11:59pm tonight until 11:59pm on Wednesday.

There will only be four reasons Victorians can leave home: essential supplies, care and caregiving and exercise and essential work.

Exercise and shopping will be limited to 5km from your home.

Face masks will need to be worn indoors and outdoors and no visitors to homes.

a change in restrictions has just been announced.

From 5pm tonight in Victoria:

- masks will be mandatory indoors again, excepting at home;

- gatherings at home will be restricted to 15 people instead of 30.

Janaza Update for Faizan Akhter

Assalamu Alaikum,

Brother Faizan Akhtar has passed away yesterday. He was basically from AJK Pakistan and was living in Melbourne, (Werribee)

The Janaza (funeral) prayer will be held tomorrow Thursday, December 17th after dhuhr prayer (1:30 PM), at Al-Taqwa College (201 Sayers Rd, Truganina VIC 3029) In Shaa ALLAH.

May Allah SWT shower him with His Mercy and Forgiveness and grant him Paradise, Ameen. May he the Exalted grant his family patience and endurance.
