Ambridge Firefighters attended the Memorial Day event at the splash pad! Fire prevention items were distributed and all the kids enjoyed going through the fire trucks at the event. It was a great day and hopefully it just keeps getting bigger and better every year!

We are one step closer to securing funding towards the purchase of a new 100ft aerial. We are hopeful that this project continues to move forward! Thank you to the Borough Manager Mario Leone and Fire Chief Don Larrick for getting this grant request submitted, and thank you to our mutual aid partners for their letters of support! Fingers crossed!

Received the email pictured this week:
US Senator Dave McCormick announced the Ambridge Borough Fire Department Ladder Truck Replacement Federal Appropriation Request in the amount of $803,000.00 as one of his submittals for approval.
We are beyond grateful for his support for this critical apparatus replacement not only for our Borough of Ambridge, but for our region.

Fingers crossed🤞 it passes through the next process - "we received a ticket to the grand ball - now we wait to see if we're asked to dance" ❤️😃

Ambridge Firefighters were evaluated tonight by State and Federal officials on our Emergency Worker Decon in case of an emergency at the Beaver County Nuclear Power Plant. With the assistance from Cochran Hose Company - Sewickley Fire Department and the Beaver County Emergency Services the evaluation went very well. We would like to thank Sewickley VFD for assisting and covering our calls during this evaluation. Job well done by both fire departments tonight!

Ambridge Firefighters (A-Shift) attended the Old Economy Home School Event in the historic district. Firefighters were there for many hours sharing the knowledge of fire prevention while the staff taught the children about American History. It was a great event and we all had tons of fun! Thank you for the invite!

You may have seen your Ambridge Firefighters out and about in the Borough today doing some training. FF Miller is currently working on progressing through his Probationary Book and Ladder 71 is one of the many topics. We were able to take advantage of some of this nice weather and check a couple boxes off to help him through his training. Keep up the strong work FF Miller!
