From foster care to forever.

On January 8, 2024, D & E entered foster care and began a journey that would ultimately lead them to their forever family.

On August 13, 2026, M & L officially adopted D & E. ❤️

Over the past two and a half years, these two have grown so much, and M & L have been there through every step — providing love, stability, patience, encouragement, and a safe place for them to grow and thrive.

Adoption is a beautiful celebration, but we also recognize that it comes with loss. While we celebrate D & E finding permanency and the love they share with M & L, we also hold space for the loss and heartache their birth parents have experienced throughout this journey. Every adoption story is complex, and every person who loves these children has a place in their story.

Today, we celebrate the B family and the journey that brought them to this day. We are so grateful for the love, commitment, and care that has surrounded these two children and helped them grow into the amazing kids they are today.

Congratulations to this beautiful family on making their forever official. 💙

Today, our Foster Care Case Manager, Donna, took one of our foster children back-to-school shopping to help them get everything they needed for a successful school year. 💙

At Haven, we believe every child deserves to feel confident, prepared, and cared for. Sometimes that means going above and beyond—whether it's helping pick out a new backpack, finding the perfect pair of shoes, or simply being there to offer encouragement.

We're so proud of Donna and the countless ways our team shows up for the children and families we serve. It's these everyday acts of kindness that make a lasting difference.

Haven and adoption and foster care agencies across Pennsylvania are facing a liability insurance crisis. This year alone, Haven experienced a 58% increase in liability insurance costs, despite having no liability claims. Some agencies have seen increases so severe that they have been forced to close programs, reducing vital services for children and families.
