We were called into service to a structure fire this afternoon. We responded along with Randall County Fire Department and Lake Tanglewood Fire Department!

The cause of the fire is believed to be lightning. It was contained to the attic.

We want to give a huge shout out to Austin Hose for helping us take care of our Brush Truck!
 Our brush truck has been in service quite a bit the last few weeks especially with the last couple of fires.

We lost our recirculation line for our pump on the Hungate Fire!

 🚒 Palisades Volunteer Fire Department 🚒

As many of you know, the Palisades Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves our area with a department made up entirely of volunteers. Our firefighters are working hard to protect our community, neighbors, families and land.

🚨Right now, we are asking for your help in two important ways:

🔥 Please avoid any activities that could create sparks or open flames, including welding, burning, outdoor fires, fireworks, parking in tall dry grass, or anything that could accidentally start a fire. Conditions can change quickly, and one spark is all it takes.

❤️ We are also currently accepting donations to help support our volunteers and keep everyone fueled and cared for during long hours of service.

We will be at the station tonight for our regular training. We will also be doing maintenance on our engine and brush truck.
Donations can be dropped off and are greatly appreciated.

Your palisades Firefighters had a busy month of April. 4 calls for mutual aid to our neighbors and all where grass fires. We have also continued to train with Lake Tanglewood Fire with our joint training sessions. Rit training, firefighter survival, advancing hose lines, ventilation, search and rescue. We have started the month of May off with mutual aid to Randall County for a structure fire. We are always training and ready to serve and help out our community and neighbors.

Today we had the opportunity to raise some money for the department for some much needed gear, supplies and equipment. We worked the Barnyard concession stand at the Amarillo Sod Poodles Baseball game! You can catch us again July 29th on Weiner Wednesday! We will also be working the concession stand on August 12 and 25th! Come enjoy the games and help out you local department!!

This morning Palisades Fire Department assisted Randall County Fire Department with a structure fire along with Amarillo Fire Department, Lake Tanglewood Fire Department and Timber Creek fire.

On 3-21-26 Palisades Fire Department was able to train with our partners and neighboring department Lake Tanglewood Fire Dept at a house that was scheduled for demolition. We trained on firefighter safety and survival, how to get through a wall if needed for survival, Forcible Entry, search and rescue, ventilation, and VEIS. We would like to thank the homeowner for allowing us this great opportunity to use your house for training. This type of training is vital to our departments. We got some great training in, great fellowship and comradery. This also helps us departments that work together and be more efficient on the fireground.

We will frigid temperature's this weekend. Make sure to keep your space heaters 10 feet away from combustible's leave a pencil stream from your faucets and bring your pets in. If you dont have to travel dont, stay home as there is a chance of snow as well. Please check on your elderly neighbors. Stay safe and warm.
