The County Judge has again issued an order closing the county tomorrow to coincide with AISD’s closing. For this reason, our office will again be closed tomorrow and will reopen on Tuesday morning.

We wrapped up our Dealer Services town hall tonight at the Santa Fe Building. We heard from about twenty of our independent auto dealers about how we can better serve them. We discussed WebDealer, title processes, and more.

This is the first time as Tax Assessor-Collector has hosted a dedicated town hall for our dealers in the history of Potter County. And I’m honored to have had the opportunity to host this event.

Special thanks to Glynda Robison, Jake Collier, Anna G. Hernandez, Texas DMV staff, and everyone else who helped make this event a success.

PRESS RELEASE: POTTER COUNTY TAX OFFICE TO BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH

AMARILLO, TX – Potter County Tax Assessor-Collector Thomas Warren wants to alert customers that the Potter County Tax Office will be closed on Wednesday, September 17th.
With recent changes to state law going into effect, the Tax Office is using the day to process paperwork, improve cross-training, and increase efficiency.

Many of the services offered in-office are also available online. Vehicle registration renewals can be done on the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles website (renew.txdmv.gov) and property tax payments can be made on the Potter County Tax Office website (pottercountytax.com).
The office will be open during regular business hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 18th.
