Watching Wednesday pretty close as a cold front is expected to stall out across the Panhandles. Where the front stalls out will bring the best chances for showers and storms, and right now there looks to be a medium to high chance for at least some rain to occur in the central to north central Panhandle.

***THIS POST IS OUTDATED*** 9/6/26 @ 2:45PM: Afternoon showers and storms have popped up in portions of the west and central TX Panhandle. Storms may have gusty winds 50-55 mph and lightning and are moving slowly north northeast about 10-15 mph. Be careful as some grasses could still be dry and lightning strikes away from the base of the storms could spark new grass fires. Locally moderate to heavy rain will be possible under the main core of the storms.
