This past weekend at Ceta Canyon Young Men’s Mentor Camp was something special.

We spent time praising and worshiping, growing stronger in our faith and encouraging one another. The young men participated in team-building activities that challenged them to work together, build trust, and step outside their comfort zones.

Along the way, they made new friendships that will last far beyond the weekend. They also learned valuable survival skills—lessons that build confidence, responsibility, and resilience.

It’s powerful to see young men surrounded by positive role models, learning life skills, and growing into strong leaders. Grateful for everyone who helped make this camp a success!

The annual Potter County SRO Girls Ceta Canyon Retreat was an incredible experience this year!

Our middle school girls spent time at beautiful Ceta Canyon making memories that will last a lifetime. It was a fun, tiring, and unforgettable weekend filled with prayer, worship, learning, laughter, and growth.

The girls participated in many group activities that challenged them, encouraged them, and brought everyone closer together. Most importantly, lasting friendships and relationships were built with each other and with the School Resource Officers who are honored to serve them.

Thank you to all the River Road parents who allowed these amazing young ladies to attend. We are grateful for the opportunity to invest in the next generation and watch them grow in confidence, character, and faith.

Already looking forward to next year!

🚔💙 SRO Appreciation Day is Coming Up! 💙🚔

SRO Appreciation Day was established by NASRO in 2022 to recognize the positive impact School Resource Officers make in their schools, departments, and communities. The date, February 15, honors the birthday of NASRO founding member and Board Chaplain Archie Hodge.

This year, February 15 falls on a Sunday, so we’ll be celebrating on Tuesday, February 17!

🎉 We want our students to join the fun! 🎉
Students are invited to dress up like their SRO to show their appreciation and school spirit.

👮‍♂️ Think polos, khakis, boots, badges (paper badges are great!), and lots of positive attitude!
🚫 No toy guns, weapons, or weapon-like props will be allowed and no face mask or face paint.

A message from Superintendent Richard Kelley:

We are monitoring the possibility of some nasty weather starting Friday morning. The next 36 hours will be very telling. Even though the decision has not been made, I want to prepare parents for the possibility of a "Snow" day on Friday. This upcoming event is reminiscent of last year's event, which changed on a dime and dumped a lot of snow on us after school had already started.

If possible, I would like to avoid last-minute closings because I know the kind of hassle that can cause both the school and parents. Student and Staff safety is a priority, and we will do our best to keep parents and guardians in the loop as this event approaches.

🎃 Trunk or Treat 2025 👻

Last night, River Road High School hosted its 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat, and it was a boo-tiful evening! 💜🐾

Our amazing staff and students from Athletics, Band, FFA, NHS, and StuCo came together to decorate trunks, wear creative costumes, and make the night a fun, festive success.

We also had speacil guest out there too. Thanks to Potter County Constable Green, the Potter County SROs, the Potter County Fire Department, and all the food trucks who joined in to make the evening even more special! 🔥🚓🍔

And of course, a big thank you to our River Road community for bringing the kiddos out and showing your Wildcat spirit!
