A recent The Amarillo Tribune article highlights the growing need among Amarillo’s seniors—and the vital role Meals on Wheels plays in meeting that need.
When Susie Akers began with Meals on Wheels, 180 seniors were being served. Today, that number has grown to more than 330.
As changes to SNAP may leave more people struggling to put food on the table, our mission becomes even more important.
No senior should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.
