Open Enrollment is now available through Sunday, May 19th for you to make elections and changes for the 2019-20 Benefit Year that begins July 1st. Please check your email for more details.

You will soon have the opportunity to make changes to your benefit elections with AISD for the next plan year. There will be no premium or plan changes for the 2019-20 plan year for the District’s core benefits, but you will want to take advantage of this time to ensure you are enrolled in the best options for you and your loved ones.

Did you know that women are more likely to suffer from eye-related diseases and conditions than men? Some of the most common include; cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

While most women understand how important it is to visit the doctor, many don't realize this goes for their eye doctor too. Visiting your VSP ® network doctor not only helps to catch signs of vision conditions early on, but it helps to monitor and understand the impact of other health conditions on the eyes.

Not only are women at greater risk for many eye diseases, they’re also at risk for several overall health conditions that impact their vision, like, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, and breast and other cancers.

I would like to announce that scheduling for the biometric screening is now available.

The District will be using CareXpress and BSA Urgent Care again this year to perform our screenings. They have launched a new scheduling system that will make it easy for everyone to make their appointment.

By participating in the biometric screening, you will receive a premium credit towards your health insurance each payroll along with the potential of lowering your deductible up to $400 by meeting certain criteria (Learn More).

When scheduling your appointment, please note:
• You can only schedule up to 30 days in advance
• If you are typing in the web address, be sure to add the “https://” before the address
• Make your patient type election (new or existing) based upon if you are a current customer of the clinic.
• Check your Junk Mail for all emails pertaining to your screening and any username/password recovery instances.
If you have any problems scheduling your appointment contact the clinic directly.

Once you have your results, you will enter them into www.bcbstx.com AFTER JULY 1st.
