ATFD had a great day with Amanda Cleercreek Primary School for a school event. Crew members showed what it's like to be around the Fire/Ems service and how we can help the community.

Air Evac Lifeteam 101 - Lancaster, Ohio, stopped in for a landing zone training! Local Fire Departments joined forces to practice scenarios, team building, and streamline how we operate together in times of need. It was an amazing opportunity to see what it's like with the Air Evac crew and how we can be better prepared for the future. Thank you to the Airvac crew for an incredible joint training experience.

Keep an eye out for our future training events!

A quick reminder about Fairfield County's Outdoor Warning Sirens!

If the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning for Fairfield County, sirens will sound in a 3-minute on, 7-minute off cycle for the duration of the warning. When the warning is canceled or expires, the sirens will stop.

With updated software and technology, sirens are activated by zone areas within the county. If any siren in a zone is within the NWS Tornado Warning polygon, all sirens in that zone will be activated. There is no longer a countywide activation. Visit FairfieldEMA.com/sirens for more information.

For example, today's warning only activated zones 2 & 3.

Reminder: Outdoor warning sirens are designed to be heard outdoors. They should not be relied on as an indoor alerting system. Please have multiple ways to receive warnings, including Wireless Emergency Alerts, NOAA Weather Radio, local media, and Alert Fairfield.
