Early Morning Response 🚑

In the early morning hours, Alvin EMS responded alongside Alvin Police Department and Alvin Volunteer Fire Department to a serious crash on 35 involving an overturned cement truck.

Alvin PD arrived first and quickly determined that the driver would need assistance from the fire department to safely extricate him from the vehicle.

While the extrication operation was being prepared, EMS made contact with the driver and began the medical assessment. Our crew determined that, although the patient was trapped, he was stable enough to wait for a controlled and coordinated extrication.

EMS remained with the patient throughout the extrication, monitoring his condition and working closely with our fire and law enforcement partners to ensure the operation could be completed as safely as possible.

Once the driver was safely removed from the vehicle, EMS immediately continued the patient assessment, provided treatment, and transported him to the hospital for further evaluation.

We are proud to work alongside Alvin Police Department and Alvin Volunteer Fire Department and grateful for the teamwork displayed this morning. Every agency has a different role, but when those roles come together, the goal is the same: protect life and get our patient home safely. ❤️🚑

Over the weekend Paramedic Supervisor Rangel and Paramedic Medina got together with Troop 400 BSA Alvin TX and went over a variety of skills so they could obtain their first aid merit badge. These kids knocked it out the park! Thank you for letting us be apart of this milestone

🚨🚨NEW PARAMEDIC ALERT🚨🚨

Please join us in congratulating Michael Medina as he has just recently passed his National Registry and is now a state certified paramedic!

Michael’s accomplishment comes from hours of hard work in the class room and at various clinical sites. Mix that with still working full time at Alvin EMS and you can really start to picture how this is no easy feat. We are incredibly proud of him and this achievement and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

To the dads of Alvin EMS, thank you for your dedication, compassion, and sacrifice. Whether you're responding to emergencies, working long shifts, missing family dinners, or answering the call in the middle of the night, you continue to serve others while being role models for your families.

Your commitment to caring for our community does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for everything you do both in uniform and at home.
