Congratulations Berkeley!

On Friday, May 22nd, representatives from the Lakemont Lions visited Altoona Area Junior High School to officially present Berkeley with his first-place trophy for the 47th Annual Spelling Bee!

The traveling trophy will proudly be housed here at AAJHS until next year’s competition. To mark the occasion, students in Berkeley's class kept the celebration going with a well-deserved donut party.

The Lakemont Lions also recognized our fantastic runner-up! Wesley Strohm, who is also a student in Mrs. Lang’s class. Wesley was honored with an official certificate of achievement for taking second place.

Congratulations to both of our outstanding spellers for representing Mrs. Lang's class and AAJHS so well!

A 🌞Soaked Day of Fun at DelGrosso's Park!

On June 3rd, the Juniata Gap community came together for an unforgettable day of laughter, thrills, and memories. Over 600 students, staff members, and parents loaded up and traveled to DelGrosso’s Park for their first whole school park trip, and it couldn't have been a more perfect day!

The weather was absolutely beautiful—ideal for racing around on bumper cars, soaring on the Crazy Mouse, and enjoying yummy snacks with friends. Seeing the students laughing and making memories together outside the classroom was the perfect celebration of all their hard work this year.

Thanks to the PTA, parent chaperones, staff, students and everyone who made this a day a great start to summer vacation!!
