❤️🚒 A Heartfelt Thank You 🚒❤️

The Egypt Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Gadsden LIONS CLUB for their generous donation of stuffed animals.

These special gifts will be kept on our trucks and used to comfort children during emergencies—helping bring a little peace and reassurance during what can be a very scary time. 🧸

Your kindness and support truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are so grateful for your continued partnership in caring for our community.

🚨 Winter Storm Preparedness Reminder ❄️

With winter weather approaching, now is the time to prepare and stay safe. The Egypt Volunteer Fire Department encourages everyone to take a few simple steps:

✔️ Check heating sources and use space heaters safely
✔️ Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
✔️ Keep extra blankets, flashlights, batteries, and non-perishable food on hand
✔️ Protect exposed pipes and allow faucets to drip during extreme cold
✔️ If you must travel, slow down and watch for icy roads

Please remember—only call 911 for emergencies so responders can assist those in immediate need.

Stay warm, stay safe, and look out for one another. We’re proud to serve our community!

Last night, Egypt Fire Department concluded the firefighting portion of the VFF160 class. Students completed testing for Module 3, which included three assigned JPRs: a victim carry, scene illumination, and a live fire burn.

To date, the class has completed 120 hours of training and will now move on to the final module, Hazardous Materials A/O.

Egypt Fire Department would like to extend its appreciation to Tim McKee (Rainbow City FD), Dan Campbell (Gallant FD), and Kevin Cline (Mountainboro FD) for serving as proctors for the final JPRs.

Tonight the 160 class finished up with module 3 of the hybrid VFF160.
The only thing left is the haz mat portion of the class.
Started in July and will end up in January.
They test module 3 on 12-11-25.
Made some new friends, and and got acquainted with our neighboring fire departments.
This was a good group of people wanting to help their community.
Also thank you to Wes Wilson, Buck Brown, James Edwards, Steve Kearns, Jared Lamkin, Oxford FD and Kevin Cline(Instructors) for assisting in teaching.
