As we count down to the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, I thought we d share some of these brave firefighters.

There were 75 firehouses in which at least one member was killed.
The FDNY also lost its department chief, first deputy commissioner, one of its marshals, one of its chaplins, as well as other administrative or specialty personnel.
On 9-11, 121 engine companies, 62 ladder companies and 27 fire officers were deployed to the world trade center.
All off-duty firefighters were recalled — the first time the FDNY had issued a total recall in over 30 years.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are likely across central PA through tonight, primarily south of I-80
Damaging winds and flash flooding are the primary thunderstorm threats, but there is also a smaller risk of large hail, and an isolated tornado
Late summer heat surge peaks today with max heat indices around 100°F in south central PA



Important changes: Flash Flood Watch in effect until Midnight (Thurs Night) for all of Central PA

Tonight we welcome Camden from Lakemont Fire-Department in Blair County.

Camden is riding along with us overnight. Camden is a member at close mutual aid partner from Blair County just on the other side of Altoona. We continue to grow our relationships with departments all over Pennsylvania.
