🌱🚜 Help Keep Our Streets and Streams Clean! 🚜🌱

With mowing season in full swing, we ask all residents to help protect our local waterways by keeping grass clippings out of the street.

Did you know? Grass clippings left on roadways can wash into storm drains during rain events, contributing to water pollution and clogging the storm sewer system. This can lead to localized street flooding and negatively impact our streams and rivers.

Here are a few simple ways to prevent grass clippings from causing problems:

✅ Use a mulching mower to return nutrients back to your lawn.
✅ Bag your grass clippings.
✅ Adjust your mower to direct clippings back onto your property.
✅ Sweep or blow any clippings that reach the street back onto your lawn.
✅ Properly collect and dispose of excess clippings.

A little extra effort goes a long way in protecting our community's water quality and keeping our storm drains functioning properly.

Altoona Boys Tennis are the 2026 WIAA Division 2 State Champions!

This is the program's first state championship and Altoona's fifth state championship in school history

The program says goodbye to seniors Charles Andresen, Tegan Bennett, Carter Drescher, Barrik LeMay, Nicholas Manz, Conor Mathews, Trenton Navarre, Daylen Parks, Lucas Pederson, Cody Sather, Jaxton Semrow, Jacob Turgeson, and Isaiah Yi. We wish you the best!
