Extreme Heat Warning – Cooling Station Available Upon Request

The Town of Alton is urging residents to take precautions as extreme heat is forecasted over the next several days. With high temperatures and humidity expected to impact the region, the risk of heat-related illnesses is elevated, especially for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, young children, and those with preexisting health conditions.

To help residents stay safe and cool, a cooling station will be made available upon request at the Pearson Road Community Center. Any resident in need of relief from the heat is encouraged to contact the Alton Police Department to arrange access.
