📢 NOTICE: Town Phone System Issues

The Town of Altavista is currently experiencing issues with its phone system. Callers are able to hear Town staff; however, Town staff unfortunately are unable to hear callers.

We are aware of the issue and are actively working to resolve it. At this time, we do not know how long the issue will continue.

If you need to contact a Town department or staff member, please submit your request through the Town's Citizen Request Center: https://www.altavistava.gov/citizen_request_center/index.php

Town staff will respond to requests as soon as possible.

The Town of Altavista's Administration and Public Services Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, in observance of the federal holiday, Labor Day.
The ACTS Bus will not be running on this date.

Frazier Road will be closed to through traffic for paving on Tuesday, August 18th, estimated from 8am-1pm.
Closure will be located at the 200 block of Frazier Rd. (in front of the WKDE radio station). Traffic above the station can enter and exit by Lola Avenue, and transit below the station can enter and exit by Lynch Mill Road.
Thank you for your patience while this work is being completed.
We will keep you posted when Frazier Rd. is back open to through traffic.

The splash pad in English Park is currently down due to a broken part within the activator. The part has been ordered, and the facility should be back open by Thursday or Friday.

We will update the public when the repair is complete and the splash pad is back open for use. Thank You for your patience.
