We at the Altamont Fire Department on this day wish to remember all the lives lost at the World Trade Center 25 years ago. We also would like to thank our community and all those who attended our ceremony this morning.

Today was another great example of what mutual aid is all about.

A huge thank you to our brothers and sisters from the Altamont Fire Department for standing by at our station while Guilderland crews were committed to multiple concurrent calls throughout the district.

We’d also like to thank our brothers and sisters from the Guilderland Center Fire Department for their assistance during our hazardous condition call on Carman Road.

One of the truly amazing things about the fire service is knowing that when your resources are stretched and the calls keep coming, neighboring departments are ready to step in without hesitation. Different patches, different stations — but when someone needs help, we’re all on the same team.

Thank you, Altamont and Guilderland Center, for having our backs today. Mutual aid at its finest. 🚒🤝🔥

The Altamont Fire department working with the rest of the town fire departments.. as the town fire Departments are working a big fire in the center of Town. Altamont Fire is covering/Standing by at Guilderland Fire to cover the west side of the Town.

Today some of our men and women of the Altamont Fire Department completed a HUGE training experience……What an amazing day of rescue technical rope training at Tawasentha park! After three weeks of training, we finally put what we learned together and practice our skills. It was an incredible experience working alongside so may dedicated firefighters while sharping it our resuce techniques and learning from on another. Truly an honor to train beside my brother and sister firefighters. Only one more class to go! Congrats Teresa Freeman, William Cleveland (Will), and Samatha Cleveland
