REMINDER: Today is the LAST DAY to purchase stickers for appliances, TVs/monitors, and tires. These items will not be picked up if they do not have stickers.
Appliances, TVs/monitors, and tires need to be placed at the curb for pick-up. It is recommended to place them at the curb tonight, as pick up will begin PROMPTLY at 7am.

2026 CITY WIDE CLEAN-UP
June 9th & 10th
Notice: Same procedures as 2025!
ONLY APPLIANCES, TIRES, AND TVs/MONITORS WILL BE PICKED UP! No other items will be picked up!

All APPLIANCES, TIRES, and TVs/MONITORS will be PICKED UP on Tuesday, June 9. These items MUST have a city sticker on them. If there is no sticker, they will NOT be picked up.
Stickers MUST be purchased at Alta City Hall ahead of time. Stickers will be sold from May 28th to June 8th.
No other items will be picked up!
All other items to be disposed of must be brought to the dumpsters located at the City Shop (209 E. 1st Street) at the following times:
Tuesday, June 9 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, June 10 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Dumpsters will be monitored.
🚫🚫The following items will NOT be allowed in the dumpsters: fluorescent light bulbs, paint, oil, hazardous household waste, construction materials (insulation, lath, sheetrock, carpet, padding, etc).
Homeowners must unload their own materials into the roll-off dumpsters.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE: The BV County Recycling Center can accept hazardous waste anytime throughout the year. Call them at 732-7171 to make an appointment to drop off hazardous waste materials at their location.
Need help? If you are 65 and older or have a disability and need assistance transporting your items, please call City Hall. We have a list of volunteers who will transport it for you for a free-will donation.
If you are willing to volunteer to help transport items for citizens who need assistance, please contact City Hall. This is not a paid position, but you may keep any free-will donations that you receive.
