Mountainville Academy is a free (no tuition) public K-6 charter school located in Alpine Utah that opened in 2006. We are a Platinum STEM School and a Leader In Me Lighthouse School. At the heart of our philosophy is the desire to foster partnership between teachers, parents, and students and help to develop each child into a well-rounded, knowledgeable, and confident person of character.

Mountainville sure has TALENT! Our Find Your Voice Talent Show was packed with incredible performances—from singing and dancing to acting and more. We are so proud of our students for sharing their talents, creativity, and confidence on stage—and for truly finding their voice! Happy 250th Birthday America!

Last week, Mountainville Academy students and families gathered on the front field to celebrate 250 years of our nation's history. Each grade represented a different decade, student leaders shared from the podium, and patriotic songs, flags, and traditions filled the morning with pride.

What a special way to honor the past and celebrate the future of our great nation! ❤️🤍💙

Our very first Kindy 500 event was a HUGE HIT!!!!!!!!
All kindergarten students created their own cardboard vehicles and “drove” from station to station enjoying meaningful activities celebrating the patriotic symbols they learned about throughout the year. They met Betsy Ross, Abraham Lincoln, and the Statue of Liberty, cruised through a super fun car wash, created adorable crafts, and munched on popcorn at the “Drive-In Movie Theater”!
It was such a fun and memorable way to celebrate our love for our country, especially during this 250th year celebration, and we are so excited to make the Kindy500 an official annual tradition for our kindergarten students!

Introducing the Charlotte’s Web Fair in Mrs. Nilson’s 2nd grade class!
Charlotte’s Web was read aloud together while students followed along. Throughout the unit, students practiced comprehension, vocabulary, sequencing, and character analysis. To celebrate finishing the book, a “Charlotte’s Web Fair” was held where students dressed as farmers, brought stuffed animals, participated in carnival games, and received fun awards. Students also watched the original Charlotte’s Web movie to compare the book and film in a fun way. It was a GREAT DAY AT THE FAIR!
