appreciation. Consider becoming a parent volunteer! Be a tutor and help teach a
child to learn to read or be more successful in their classes! Support our students
by attending a parent night, science fair, FFA banquet, ballgames,

math carnival
and fall festival or quiz bowl competition! Regardless of the event, there are many
opportunities to support children and we hope you take advantage of them! Alpena School District is a strong district with rich tradition both in community
spirit and support! We are proud to be one community, one campus and have
one mission – OUR KIDS! Alpena area residents have a vision for a unified, welcoming, family-oriented hometown with roots in the past which nourish their future. Their sense of place includes a safe, caring, and clean environment with a thriving economy, local educational opportunities, and rewarding activities for everyone from children to senior citizens. They want to be a place for people to visit and make memories, and a place to which future generations will want to return.
