If you are using a portable heater, please make sure it is plugged directly into an outlet and not a power strip or extension cord. Always keep it at least 3 feet from anything that can burn and turn it off when you are not near it. 🚒

Always plug your space heater into a wall outlet. Never plug your space heater into a power strip or extension cord.

Most power strips and extension cords are not designed to meet the power needs of a space heater. The heater requires more power than strips or extension cords are designed to handle. They will literally meltdown and start fires. When in doubt, read the safety information that came with your space heater for the manufacturer recommendations.
